What to expect in your training session -

Flexibility Training.

Self-myofascial release (SMR) is a corrective flexibility technique that is used to decrease the occurrence of muscle imbalances and joint dysfunction.  It is done by using body pressure over a foam roller to massage "knots" in the fibrous tissue that surround and separate the muscle. This method will be used along with more typical static and active flexibility exercises.

Core Training.

Strengthening the core is so important!  It is our "base", where all movement begins. A strong core relieves the spine of harmful forces that occur during every day activity.

Balance Training.

Balancing teaches our bodies to recruit the muscles needed to do such activities as playing baseball, carrying groceries or simply walking down the stairs. Maintaining balance is the key to all movement.

Reactive Training.

These quick movement exercises constantly change direction and speed to improve the fast-twitch muscles.  They are utilized to enhance overall performance.  Reactive training will only be used once proper core and balance stabilization are achieved. This can help a college basketball player to be more efficient on the court or an elderly person to avoid a fall.

Resistance Training.

Resistance training will be the bulk of the work out. This is used to improve muscular strength and endurance.  It stabilizes the joints to prevent injury and enables the body to burn greater amounts of calories even when not training.
